Last Updated: April 9, 2025
Hey lovely,
I wanted to give you an overview of your chart, and what each planetary placement would mean for you and your life, and then I’ll go into some of the “important” asteroids too which add an extra layer of depth to the reading. So welcome to your personal astrology chart reading! By understanding these placements, you will gain insight into yourself and your life journey, and it can also provide you with an awareness on how others interact with you also.

Planetary Placements
The planets in our solar system each represent different aspects of our personality and life experiences. In astrology, the position of these planets at the time of our birth is believed (by many, and by me) to have a profound influence on our lives.
Sun (ego, core identity, archetype expression)
The Sun represents our core identity, the essence of who we are. It is associated with vitality, creativity, and self-expression. It’ll be about why you act the way you do, why you express yourself the way you do. This is your “People think I am” statement.
- Sun in Aries: People think I am confident, competitive and motivated/motivating.
- Sun in Taurus: People think I am calm, grounded and reliable.
- Sun in Gemini: People think I am intellectual, adaptable and communicative.
- Sun in Cancer: People think I am nurturing, emotional and intuitive.
- Sun in Leo: People think I am charismatic, enthusiastic and proud.
- Sun in Virgo: People think I am practical, analytical and helpful.
- Sun in Libra: People think I am charming, fair-minded and harmonious.
- Sun in Scorpio: People think I am intense, passionate and mysterious.
- Sun in Sagittarius: People think I am adventurous, optimistic and philosophical.
- Sun in Capricorn: People think I am responsible, ambitious and disciplined.
- Sun in Aquarius: People think I am original, independent and intellectual.
- Sun in Pisces: People think I am imaginative, deeply-feeling, and supportive.
Moon (feelings, mental health, subconscious mind)
The Moon symbolizes our emotional nature and our instinctive reactions. It is associated with our moods, feelings, and subconscious mind. Your moon sign can show you exactly why you act like you do, and what you do when you need certain comforts. Think of it like an “I feel” statement.
- Moon in Aries: I feel fiercely, I feel better when I get physically active, and I burnout when I do too much all by myself for too long.
- Moon in Taurus: I feel securely, I feel better when I get to take it easy and indulge a bit, and I burnout when things are changing too quickly.

- Moon in Cancer: I feel deeply, I feel better when surrounded by people who care about me, and I burnout when my emotions are dismissed or ignored.
- Moon in Leo: I feel dynamically, I feel better when receiving attention and recognition for my talents, and I burnout when my creativity is stifled.

- Moon in Libra: I feel diplomatically, I feel better when there is balance and fairness in my relationships, and I burnout when conflicts arise or there is injustice.
- Moon in Scorpio: I feel intensely, I feel better when delving deep into my emotions and psyche, and I burnout when feeling out of control or betrayed.
- Moon in Sagittarius: I feel expansively/philosophically, I feel better when exploring new ideas and beliefs, and I burnout when confined to a narrow-minded perspective.
- Moon in Capricorn: I feel orderly/sectionally (overseeing each area in my life), I feel better when setting and achieving goals, and I burnout when feeling overwhelmed, out of control or restricted.
- Moon in Aquarius: I feel uniquely, I feel better when expressing my individuality, getting weird and connecting with like-minded individuals, and I burnout when feeling isolated or limited by societal norms or social injustices.
- Moon in Pisces: I feel empathetically, I feel better when tapping into my intuition and imagination, and I burnout when feeling emotionally drained or disconnected from reality.
Mercury (communication, intelligence, news)
Mercury represents communication, intelligence, and rational thinking. It also influences our learning style, and how we process information. It basically shows you why you communicate the way you do, what stimulates interaction with your learning (“piquing my interest”), and it can also have an effect on how we think. This then would be like your “I think” expression. In each of the signs this would look like:
- Mercury in Aries: I think boldly, I speak sometimes without thinking first
- Mercury in Taurus: I think patiently, I speak from a place that’s well thought out
- Mercury in Gemini: I think logically, I speak quickly
- Mercury in Cancer: I think emotionally first, I speak fiercely and from a place of value

Venus (interests, romance, beauty, values)
Venus governs love, relationships, beauty, and harmony. It influences our sense of values and what we find attractive. It shows you what fulfills you, and gives you a sense of happiness. So this would have to be like your “I love” statement.

Venus is absolutely going to be happiest in Taurus, Libra and Scorpio due to their intensity and passion for specific tangible values (self, others, objects).
Mars (action, passion, sex, conflict)
Mars is the planet of action, drive, and ambition. It influences our energy levels, governs our sexual desires and how we assert ourselves. It can also indicate how we express our anger and deal with conflicts. How each sign deals with conflicts help us navigate our relationships better. - Mars in Aquarius: I desire innovation and change, and I deal with conflict unconventionally
- Mars in Pisces: I desire sensitivity and empathy, and I deal with conflict intuitively
Mars has it’s most confident and active placements in Aries and in Scorpio, it’s traditional rulings. If you have a fiery Mars, keep an eye on your transits.
Jupiter (good luck, expansion, spiritual beliefs)

Important Chart Aspects – Angles
Covering your Ascendant (also known as your Rising Sign), your Descendant (opposite of your Ascendant), your Midheaven, and your IC (Imum Coeli). These four points are known as the angles in astrology. They represent the most significant areas of our lives and have a strong influence on our personality and life path.
Ascendant
The Ascendant is the zodiac sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the time of your birth. It represents how you interact with the world, and how others perceive you. Whether this is through your personal style, or through your general demeanor. It’s your “I come across as” statement. Most people feel more like their Ascendant, than their Sun, and I encourage this to be honest – only you can really know yourself best.
- Aries Rising: I am the first; first to speak up, first to give things a go, first to jump into action. I’m known for my fiery, confident nature and my bold approach to life. My natural enthusiasm can sometimes come off as aggressive or impulsive, but I am always driven by a strong desire to lead and conquer challenges.
- Taurus Rising: I am the steady rock; reliable and grounded with a touch of sensuality. My calm and collected presence radiates stability and comfort, making others feel at ease in my company. But beware, when pushed too far, my stubbornness may surface, revealing a fierce determination that cannot be swayed.
- Gemini Rising: I am the social butterfly; constantly seeking new experiences and connections. My quick wit and charming personality make me adaptable in any situation. But my duality may also lead to indecisiveness and restlessness, as I struggle to find balance between my many interests.
- Cancer Rising: I am the protector; deeply attuned to the emotions of those around me. My nurturing nature makes me a natural caretaker, always putting others before myself. However, my sensitivity can also leave me vulnerable to being easily hurt by others.
- Leo Rising: I am the king/queen of my jungle; confident, charismatic and bold. My presence commands attention and admiration from others. But beneath my exterior lies a need for validation and recognition, which can sometimes lead to ego clashes with those around me.
- Virgo Rising: I am analytical and detail-oriented, always striving for perfection in everything I do. My practicality and efficiency make me a valuable member of any team. My critical nature can also lead to self-criticism and a tendency to overthink things.
- Libra Rising: I have a natural sense of harmony and diplomacy, making me a great mediator in conflicts. My charming and sociable nature makes it easy for me to form relationships with others. But my desire for peace and balance can sometimes lead to indecisiveness and avoiding confrontation.
- Scorpio Rising: I am intense, passionate, and fiercely independent. My keen intuition allows me to see through surface-level interactions and understand the deeper motivations of others. My secrecy and desire for control can make it difficult for me to open up and trust others.
- Sagittarius Rising: I am adventurous, optimistic, and always seeking new experiences. My free-spirited nature may lead me to rebel against authority or traditional ideals. But my directness and love for learning make me a great teacher and mentor.
- Capricorn Rising: I have a strong sense of responsibility, determination, and ambition. My practicality helps me succeed in achieving my goals, but I may struggle with taking risks or being spontaneous. My reserved nature also makes it challenging for me to express my emotions openly.
- Aquarius Rising: I am unique and unconventional, constantly seeking new experiences and knowledge. My intellect and open-mindedness may make me seem detached or aloof at times, but I am a true humanitarian at heart. I value independence and freedom, both for myself and others.
- Pisces Rising: With my sensitive and empathetic nature, I am highly attuned to the emotions of others. My imagination and intuition often lead me down creative paths, but my dreamy disposition may also struggle with reality at times. I have a strong desire for spiritual connection and inner peace.
Descendant
The Descendant is located on the western horizon, opposite to the Ascendant. It represents our close relationships and partnerships. It can shed light on the type of partner we are attracted to and how we handle partnerships in general, and how we may even handle conflicts. It can even show what we may project, or secretly need from other people.

In addition to the planets and angles, there are also thousands of asteroids that can provide even more insight into our personalities and life experiences. They provide adjectives and nouns like hills and mountains to our scenery where previously it was a plateau of a plane. Here are some of the most important ones I look at in your chart:
