Why does it take so long to learn tarot?

Tarot takes time to learn because it is essentially like learning a new language. The tarot deck is made up of 78 cards, each with its various meanings depending on the context of the reading (love, career, health, future, etc). To become an accurate tarot reader, you’ll need to be familiar with the meanings of all the cards and that can take quite a while to get acquainted with.

Learning tarot, it’s also learning to trust your intuition. The more you practice, the better you’ll become at homing in on the messages the cards are trying to give you. Trusting your intuition is a process that takes time, so don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t come naturally at first.

Furthermore, once you start reading tarot for others, you’ll need to learn how to communicate the messages you receive in a way that is clear, concise, and helpful. This is a skill that takes practice to perfect but is so worth it when you see the positive impact your readings have on people’s lives.

Is it hard to learn Tarot cards?

Learning tarot is not as hard as learning rocket science, but it requires dedication, patience, and a willingness to learn. Tarot is easy to learn, but hard to master. The more you practice, the better you’ll become at reading tarot for yourself and others.

I started my tarot journey more than 15 years ago and I am still learning new things about the cards and their meanings. I don’t think I will ever stop learning because the tarot is a never-ending source of wisdom. Each reading I am involved in teaches me something new.

Can you learn tarot on your own?

The good news is that anyone can learn the tarot and it is definitely possible to learn it on your own. In fact, that’s how most people get started! Some people learn the basics in just a few weeks by studying and practicing every day whilst others take months fully understand the meanings of all the cards.

There are many online resources such as websites, podcasts, YouTube channels, and tarot forums that can speed up the learning process and help you grasp the sometimes complex symbolism and meanings of the tarot. However long it takes you, just be patient and don’t give up – eventually, you’ll get there!
